Now thinks that the end of all letters should be written at the beginning of the letter before, to show correspondents how they are expected to sign themselves. Beaton's talk is as good as his photographs. It is fun to hear him discuss people "from the point of view of angel, dog or man!". Wishes he had been here for luncheon when Patricia and Pamela Beckett were here. Will be in London next Friday night. Got a "divine" letter from Stephen and an "amusing" one from Elinor, who sent her new book. Loved their weekend.
Autograph letter signed to Beaton.
