Letter from Henry Travis to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Travis wonders would not the John Street meeting serve all the purposes of the meeting Owen proposes to be held at St. Martin's Hall. If so, then much expense would be spared and judging from the previous years, this seems to Travis to be the case.

Owen is advised to "fire off" his shells and make his remarks about religion about individuals rather than the "system"; there is little chance then that he will be brought to trial for treason.
