Letter from Henry Travis to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Travis writes of sending Owen the Star newspaper which carried a leading article written by [George] Fleming. He also notes, they now have opponents in the "open council" and Travis intends to "make hash" of these.

Travis believes [William] Ashurst's family would be "excellent associates" in the Spring Grove establishment; Owen is asked to put the proposition to Ashurst when he next sees him.
