Manuscript letter opening with chat regarding Owen' s recent stay in Hartlepool. Travis hopes "his daughter" Sarah [Davison] looked after him.

Travis is looking forward to seeing Owen when he comes to Birmingham and suggests he should meet up with [John] Finch, who should also be passing through Birmingham around the same time.

Owen is asked if he has made arrangements with [the publisher] Mr [Joshua] Hobson regarding the new edition of the Lectures about Marriage.

Travis signs the letter as a "Owenite and Socialist".
