Letter from Henry Travis to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Travis writes of his belief that England needs change; it is time for people to "open their eyes". He remarks it is a pity Owen's "Rational Views" cannot be put before the public, being as he has no confidence in the "class of people who govern" at present.

Travis put 6 queries to Owen regarding his thoughts on currency which were recently printed in the London Mercury newspaper, a copy of which Owen sent to Travis.
