Letter from Henry Travis to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Owen is thanked for sending further "spiritual intelligence" much of which Travis finds "very curious".

Recent events at the colony set up [? in Iowa] by Étienne Cabet are discussed, with Travis writing of a "great state of commotion" which has forced Cabet to resume some of the absolute power which he had previously given up; he is faced with a "hard fight" but things should end in his favour.
