Letter from Henry Travis to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, in which matters regarding the content of a new journal. Travis feels there are a number of extracts which can be taken from the Essays on the Formation of Character which describe what Owen achieved at New Lanark and can be included in the journal short section of half a column to two columns.

Travis tells of meeting M. Goupy and taking him to see a model lodging house, Marylebone Workhouse and to dine at a restaurant on Strand, [London].

Travis has enclosed a small manuscript note which, in Owen approves, could be used at the end of the "Reasons for the ? of the Journal".
