SCC writes to his father to ask for some Chatsworth cards as people in Dublin ask for them. He writes that he is enclosing two applications for Buxton Hospital but he cannot find out more about one of the constituents. He reports that he had a visit from "Old Boyle" about forming a new Liberal club as they do not believe the "something between Brook's and the Reform is wanted." He reports that Henry Cowper, Archibald Primrose, 5th Earl of Rosebery and Gerard Stuart wish to come to Bolton at various times. In the postcript, he writes that George Cayley is one of the constituents in the enclosed application who SCC thinks he knows from Cambridge. He writes that he will send word to W. Oakley that his father is at Lismore. Sent from: London, date stamped, 29 July.
