Horace Farquhar's writes concerning the improvement in the price of pig iron. He further writes apologising to SCC for "bothering" him with "the enclosed letter" [not enclosed] however "it was a great disappointment in [18]92". He also writes concerning his claims to peerage, hoping that he is now "a good first favourite now!". Sent from: Mar Lodge. See also CS8/2462-8. [The letter is dated 1892: but the text of the letter makes it clear that this is an error, perhaps suggested by the writer's frequent references to the events of 1892.]
