Mr Farquhar writes concerning his proposed peerage and confirms that there has been no "favouritism" asked for. He also writes that he knew nothing about the [Jameson] Raid. He finally writes apologising for his poor handwriting as "we have killed about 2000 pheasants today with 6 guns". Sent from: Castle Rising, Kings Lynn. Letter is marked "private".
