Scope and Content

SCC writes to his father that he is delighted to hear the works on the kennels have begun but asks about the mortality rates of Derbyshire hounds and if the old dogs will remain in their "old stinkhole". He describes the surrounding areas of Rouen and reports that there is still more things to be seen in the town. He reports that he requested more money from Mr Vincent but was told he does not deal with that bank. Sent from Croisset, France, date stamped 26 July.
