SCC writes to his father that he has enclosed two letters from "Capt. Hornby". He writes that "Brailsford" is a good man and they are "a famous race for keepers" particularly for dogs. He writes that his uncle thinks "Wilson" would be a good keeper for Holker but SCC does not agree. He asks that his father lets him know if he will reply to "Capt. Hornby" about when he can go to see the place. He reports that he came up with Paxton yesterday who advises to sell off Ireland then the whole of the debt can be paid off and they will also get £100,000 per year. Sent from: House of Commons, London, date stamped 9 Feb.
