[Dussant] to 'Ma chere Jannie' [Mrs Strachey]

Scope and Content

Written from Kensington. The fact that she has not been to see Mrs Strachey though she has been several days in London, is that she has the feeling that a visit from her would give Mrs Strachey no pleasure. For a long time now Mrs Strachey's influence has replaced her own. If Marie is made happy by following Mrs Strachey's counsel rather than hers she will be only too glad.
