Written from Allenswood. Has just received the news of her friend's grief which has just come upon her; she would like to have gone to her but felt that expressions by word of mouth would be worse than by the pen. Mrs Strachey's friend, Mrs Moran, died while still rejoicing in the pleasure of the friendship and love which Mrs Strachey inspired in her. Mrs Strachey called it 'unreasonable' but it was the source of great pleasure for her. With envelope. Postmarked on envelope 16 Jun 1891.
