Dorothy has just brought her the letter written at her request explaining to her mother 'l'affaire du Condorcet' The Condorcet in 12 volumes arrived from the bookseller just after she had returned to 'Les Ruches' from seeing off her friend (Mrs Strachey) a beautiful edition but rebound and she has told the book shop to await confirmation of the purchase until she has heard from Mrs Strachey, so would she let her know by return. Sends a good report of Dorothy, enjoys trying at French and displays a hearty appetite. Begs her to recommend Sarah to Mrs Allman when she goes to Bournemouth; emphasize her special interest in the sciences.
