File relating to the Department of Pathology. The Department was headed by Professor Stephen Baker (1888-1978) from 1931-1950 and Professor A.C.P. Campbell (1908-1996) from 1950-1973. Subjects covered in the files include: visits by medical societies to the Department; outside consultancies and private and public service medical work; arrangements in neuropathology, osteopathology and clinical pathology; the development of the rheumatism research laboratory at York Place (1950); a memorandum probably by Professor Baker, dated March 1945, on the staffing of the Department; and arrangements concerning Professor Baker's rheumatism research.
