Correspondence and papers relating to the administration of the Manchester Municipal College of Technology. The College was at the period covered by this file owned by Manchester Corporation, and run jointly by the Corporation and the University. It later became U.M.I.S.T. Much of the correspondence is between the vice-chancellor and the staff of the Faculty of Technology, who were based at the College, and concerns departmental arrangements. There is also correspondence with the Principal of the College over general administrative and academic matters.
There are papers on problems with the examinations in textile chemistry in 1938, and a proposed chair of fuel 1939, which have been maintained as discrete bundles in this file.
