Correspondence relating to the I.C.I. Research Fellowship Scheme. Established in 1944, the ICI postgraduate fellowships were intended to encourage co-operation between academic and industrial science. Manchester was originally provided with funds for eight fellowships. The scheme was renewed at various times over the succeeding years.
