The epilogue takes the form of a dialogue between Alex and an author figure, named "AB".

Administrative / Biographical History

This epilogue was written for newspaper publication shortly before Burgess's stage version of A Clockwork Orange (A Clockwork Orange: A Play with Music) was published. The complete text (of the epilogue) remained unpublished until 2012.
