Thomas Crewe (Trevalyn) to Sir John Trevor (Little St. Bartholomew's): will try to get the measurements of the bed from Mrs Bagnall; Mr John Powell is not at home but if he does not come there soon writer will go to where he is; has not seen or heard from Mr Wood yet; cannot send full details of expenses incurred at the assizes but the totals were £15..14s in Flintshire and £21..19s..2d in Denbighshire plus the writer's expenses of 4s..9d; sends 3 couples of hens weighing 15 pounds some drawn and some not and asks to know which arrives in best condition; also sends two flitches of bacon weighing 159 lbs, the rate of carriage being 1d a pound and the bacon costing 3½d a pound; Sir Richard has not been well the last two days.
