Denbigh, to the King, complaining that Sir Thomas Myddleton the younger (whose father, Sir Thomas Myddleton, Knight and Alderman of London had purchased the said lordship) 'out of his great ambition to have rule and authority over your Majesty's subjects within the said lordship (being ancient freeholders) whereby he laboureth to draw the dependencies of your said subjects unto himself and thereby to induce them from that duty, obedience and service due unto your Majesty ', and asking the King to intervene to prevent this by legal process.
