Extracts from the journal of William Crook, June - December 1828, describing his activities at Tahiti, his journeys to visit the various mission stations, the influence of a Lascar causing trading difficulties for the Tahitians and the visiting ships, brief reports of Quarterly Meetings, admission of new members to the churches, and the general dissatisfaction with John Orsmond's management of the Academy. Also mentions Elijah Armitage and the plans for spinning and weaving of locally growns cotton.
