Journal of George Turner, September - December 1859, describing his voyage to from Samoa to the New Hebrides [Vanuatu] and Loyalty Islands [New Caledonia] - Aneiteum [Anatom], Futuna, Tanna, Niua^, Erromanga [Erromango], Fate [Efate], Mare, Toka, Lifu, Uea [Ouvea] (or Britania Island) and Niue. He was accompanied by William Baker and Samuel Macfarlane and their families, who were to occupy stations at Lifu.
