Letter dated 11 June 1939 from F. Matthias Alexander (1869-1955), former actor and founder of the Alexander Technique, who refers to a recent evening spent with RD and congratulates him on Goodbye Mr Chips. Stored with two letters from Charles A. Neil, Principal of the Isobel Cripps Centre, founded to promote and teach the Alexander Technique: in /2 he invites RD to become a Governor of the Centre; and in /3 he responds to RD's refusal to sign an appeal, admitting he mistakenly believed RD had benefited more from Alexander's lessons.
