With Fabia Drake (Mrs Maxwell Turner), actress, director and playwright; and some correspondence with RD's agents Christopher Mann Management Ltd relating to Drake. Topics covered include: Drake's play Set to Partners which RD feels unable to comment on; Drake's work on directing RD's productions of Much Ado About Nothing and Ustinov's The Man Behind the Statue in 1946, including discussions about casting, rehearsals, and Drake's fees (/9-16); RD's new film [Lease of Life] in 1954 and his disappointment over not being able to do Willie Mossop [in David Lean's film of Hobson's Choice]; the work of Komis [Theodore Komisarjevsky] (/21).
