Scope and Content

Thomas Crawford's original typescript of the anthology, with preliminary pages added by Carcanet Press; most of the poems have been freshly typed, although one or two have been copied from published sources and pasted in. Minor corrections have been made by Crawford; the manuscript has been marked-up for printing in pencil, with some further instructions to the printer in pink or red ink. Stored with an initial typescript sheet of instructions to the printer on style.

Arrangement

The initial sheet of printer's instructions is unnumbered; the rest of the manuscript bears its original foliation, running from 1 to 189 with the following exceptions: folio 126 is missing (because it was incorporated into the galley proof at CPA/1/1/1/20/3); and only the bottom half of folio 127 is included (this has been numbered by the archivist; the top half of the folio is also incorporated into the galley proof).
