Scope and Content

Manuscript of the anthology, consisting of original typescript introduction by Simmons with notes on contributors and typescript preliminaries prepared by Carcanet. The texts of the poems themselves are all photocopied from published sources. The manuscript has been marked up for printing by Val Warner (in pencil, blue and occasionally green ink), with further instructions added at the printing house (in pencil). Both Schmidt and Warner have carried out some minor editing of Simmons's introduction.

Arrangement

The original foliation of the manuscript is not entirely consistent, and the archivist has now added running numbers at the top left corner of each sheet.
