Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter. Owen begins by saying that he doesn't think the papers he requires will be ready until next week. He asks Rigby if he needs anymore copies of the Proclamation. Owen goes on to say it is too soon to decide which lecture room he will require for the 14th May but suspects the audience would prefer the larger one. He also says he needs to consult with Mr Atkins about how he wishes to exhibit his panarama.

Owen goes on to say You see by my writings now with the printer that I am preparing to bring up the public step by step to the mark I want to bring them before the World Convention.

He concludes by telling Rigby that when the printer is ready he will inform him what to send to him.
