Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter informing Rigby he has received a letter from Mr Tyme and has written back to him to request a meeting. He wishes to inform Mr Tyme of his views regarding the use of Pierre Baume's estate. But Owen says that he will not stand in the way if they have other practical plans for its use.

Owen goes on to say he has written to Robert 2nd to ask him to be a trustee for the establishment of a humanist school. He has forwarded his reply to Dr Travis who should show it to Rigby.

Owen concludes by saying he is preparing No.7 of the New Existence.
