Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter. Owen begins by asking to see Baume at Sevenoaks regarding the delay with the lawyers.

Owen says that as soon as the estate is conveyed he will call a public meeting for establishing the millenium in practice and raising funds. He says the plan will be simple:

  • A square for education purposes
  • An arrangement for the trade and business
  • And the land for gardening, horticulture and farming.
