Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter informing Rigby that he received the papers and pamphlets he sent him and expresses his belief that they amount to nothing other than to make socialism and spiritualism none before the public.

Owen says that Dr Travis has gone on a visit to the north and that his manuscript for part 7 [of the New Existence] is with the printers. He goes on to say that Mr Pare has been putting the British Association on a wrong scent.

Owen reflects on Baron's [Corvaja] disappointment but says their ideas are very different and it is inprobable that they could act together.

Owen concludes by saying he is as busy as ever.
