Judicial transumpt from the documents of Sir John Hawick, of a sasine of a tenement belonging to Robert Prendergest canon of Glasgow, disponed by the latter to the vicars of the choir for two obits to be performed. The vicars will also ave to pay a life rent of one mark per year to Robert Prendergest.

There was a seal attached to the parchment, but it has been lost.

The document was written on parchment by the notary John of Reston and it is bearing his authentification mark. It is written in bastard hand, a hybrid between formal text hands and informal cursive hands. The first capital letters are ornamented.

Blackhouse charters catalogue description: 'Judiciall Transumpt from the prothugall of Sir John Hawick not.pub. of a Seasine of a tenement etc. belonging to Mr. Rob. Prendergest Cannon of Glasgow Lying in the Densyde betwixt the tennements of Mr. Wm. Govan on the East and Sir John Hawick on the west Disponed by the said Mr. Rob. for 2 universaries to be performed by the viccar of the queer Containing a Liferent tack Sett back by the saids viccars to the said Mr. Robert for the duty of a merk yearly dated 20 Aprile 1442 Transumed 18 March 1476'.
