The seal of james Edmonstoun represents, within a single tressure, flory conter-flory. The legend is between raised borders: S' IACOBI EDMISTOUN.

The seal of Elena Murray represents a shield bearing arms: three mullets within a double tressure flory counter-flory. The legend is between raised borders: S' ELENA MURRAY.

The document is written on parchment in a very neat traditional hand with some occasional secretary hand features like an c with an attacking stroke or a final s looking like a Greek sigma, but it is not prominent.
