Copy letter. He could like her to accept his resignation as Secretary to the League; main reason that his brother who had relieved him as much as he could of business has had to give up work owing to illness. He cannot therefore give as much time as he would like to the work of the League. To replace him he recommends Mr Edmondson if he would give up some of his multifarious engagements for this work.

Speaks of his brother who had relieved him as much as he could of business has now had to give up work owing to illness. This was John Wycliffe, a younger brother of HJ Wilson. He showed his devotion to the work of Repeal by taking over most of the work of the family business thus leaving his brother free for works of social reform so dear to the hearts of him and his wife
