LETTER: H.M. Denham, Marine Surveyors Office, Liverpool to [?] He has been busy with the preparations of official documents re Mr. Humes' lighthouse bill. He relates the cause of the Formby lifeboat disaster and gives the dimensions of the boat. He believes the boat in question might be much improved by having [? noles] attached above the waterline. The surviving cases of the distress have been somewhat mitigated by the receipt of £90 from the community and £550 from the Dock Trust. He sends the lifebuoy as desired. It is much admired.
