Scope and Content

LETTER: O. S. Wilding, United States Consulate, Tower Building South, water St., Liverpool to R. Wynne Jones, Beaumaris. The statement referred to is quite correct. The U.S. government has awarded Williams 100 dollars and an additional sum of £3 in consideration of the fact that Macartney received a like sum from the Liverpool shipwreck and humane society. He encloses a draft for £23.11.9. being the amount in English money less the cost of the draft. He requests William's receipt.
