Scope and Content

LETTER: E.E. Friend [Captain of the Frankland] 4 Goree Piazzas, Liverpool to Rev. James Williams, Rectory, Llanfairynghornwy. Mrs. Williams wrote in his absence with information re. Mr O Williams of Wylfa. He has been included amongst those rewarded. He notes some mistakes made in the rewards given, and has seen Mr. Thomas Court of the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane society concerning the rectification of these. A further £2 will be supplied for Morris Griffith. He also requests that he distribute £9 amongst them men, as a donation from the ship's owners. He sent Richard Owen, who had a cold, £1 by the Amlwch steamer and enquires if he received it. He sends his thanks to J.W.'s family. He requests a line to confirm that the money has been paid to all concerned. He is now in the command of the William Fisher.
