LETTER: R. Lewis to Dr. Wynne Jones. The committee have decided to increase the reward of the 4 Penmon men for their services in saving the crew of the Penrhyn by giving them another 5s. per man. They are anxious not to encourage men to go afloat in shore boats where there is a lifeboat stationed. He encloses a draft for £1 and requests then men's receipts. He also encloses the lithographed circulars and subscription lists requested. He suggests that he refer to the annual reports re the Board of Trade subsidy.
