To James Bone from Madeline Montague, writing from Kitts Quarries [Burford, Oxford]. She has received the typescript of 'The Blessing of Adam'. She thanks him for all he has done. She discusses the production of the book of essays, and other avenues of publication; she has been comparing the manuscripts of some of her husband's articles with versions which have appeared in print. She asks him to return the copies of the essays, if he has not already sent them to Pinker. She asks if there should be another reading of the last line of the Nash quotation as given in 'Only Too Clear'.
