MS 235: Binding Fragments removed from College Books

Scope and Content

Three boxes containing 113 textual fragments removed from the bindings of College books. The bulk of these are either medieval or early printed, but there are three 16th century manuscript fragments. The medieval fragments are described in Hanna, 2002. The early printed fragments have yet to be described.

Fragment 6
Paper. Fols 2. Overall 141 x 92 mm. Latin. A list of names, perhaps accounts listing payments from individuals. Single 16th c. secretary hand with ruling.

Fragment 13
Paper. Fol. 1. Overall 102 x 150 mm. Latin? Unidentified fragment. Single 16th c. mixed? hand.

Fragment 54
Paper. Bundle of several fragile, fragmentary fols. Largest fragment ca. 296 x 212 mm. Chiefly Latin? Unidentified fragments. Several? 16th c. hands.
