MS 349: Account Book of Henry Handley Norris

Scope and Content

Together with MSS 350-355 this forms a set of six 19th century account books, and a bank pass book, belonging to Henry Handley Norris (1771-1850, Church of England clergyman and leader of the High Church faction known as the Hackney Phalanx). This volume covers the years 1815-1820. Purchased using the Leishman fund in 1981 (Colvin's supplement to Coxe).

1. Fols 1v-64r: Norris, Henry Handley. Account book recording income and expenditure for 1815-1820. English. Single 19h c. hand in black ink. Accounts with ca. 49 lines to a page. Double-entered. Divided into five unequal vertical columns with pencil rules. [Fols 64v-66v blank]
