Decree by the Lords of the Council, finding the Masters of the College of Glasgow, as succeeding to the right of the vicars, entitled to an annual payment of 6 merks from a house in the Rottenrow, belonging to the Laird of Luss.

The document is written on paper in a round, neat secretary hand. The first letter is ornamented. It bears the signature of James McGill.

Blackhouse charters catalogue description: 'Decreet of the Lords of Councill and Session preferring the Masters of the Colledge of Glasgow As come in place of the said viccars to the payment of the said 6 mks. Then and in all tyme comeing this Decreet of Multiple poynding and preferrance is dated 3 Febry. 1595'.
