The document was written on parchment by the notary John of Reston and it is bearing his authentification mark. It is written in a cursive hand with some secretary features such as the letter p looking like an x, the open e, or the slight, occasional attacking stroke on a. The first letter of the second paragraph is ornamented, but the overall look of the instrument is not very formal.
