The document was written on parchment by the notary Cuthbert Simson and it is bearing his authentification mark. It is written in a bastard hand. The first letter is heavily ornamented, and the first words are written in modified bookhand.
Instrument upon a disposition and sasine by Adam Colquhoun assignee of Thomas Muirhead first founder of the church of St Roch near the city of Glasgow and within its jurisdiction ; and infeftment of the half of a croft and some adjacent other lands belonging to the church of St Roch to David Muirhead as one of the perpetual chaplain of this church and his successors, and the other half to Alexander Robert as the other perpetual chaplain and his successors.

Roberti as the other perpetuall Chaplane of the said church and his successors of the oyr equall half of the said croft Lands and peretinents to be divided betwitxt them by the birlawmen of Glasgow for the tyme dated 28 Nover. 1512'.
