Instrument upon a feu right and a disposition made by David Mentieth, son and heir of the late John Mentieth burgess of Glasgow, with the consent of Alexander Lindsay of Corsbasket and Mitchell Hugonis, his curators, of a piece of waste land consisting in two roods with tail and pertinents on High Street, to John Aitken, burgess of Glasgow, and his heirs and assignees for a yearly feu duty of 20 shillings Scots at Whitsunday and Martinmas.

The document was written on parchment by the notary Nicholas Witherspoon and it is bearing his authentification mark. It is written in a cursive pre-secretary hand. The first letter is ornamented and the first words are in modified bookhand.
