Letter from Geo. A. Fleming to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter discussing Owen's recent movements; he has been in Preston and Bradford, but was unable to call on Fleming in Salford. Fleming asks for a brief account of Owen's "sayings and doings" in Liverpool and Preston; wishes to speak to Owen on the topic of Congress.

Brief mention is made of a dispute with Mr Bywater which has seen "the room shut on us" and [the local branch of the National Community Friendly Society] being confined to the Social Institution; they hope to build a room of their own soon.
