Letter from Geo. A. Fleming to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter referring to the possible prosecution [of Fleming], as editor of the New Moral World, for "non-compliance with the Stamp Laws". He writes of being satisfied to learn they would not be prosecuted for the "Church's Laws", but they will have to "stamp the paper as soon as possible"; sales will be affected, but is preferable to a "£100 fine".

Further detailed discussion on the subject of 'Stamping' follows.
