Letter from Geo. A. Fleming to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, in which Fleming discusses his recent activities in and around Manchester. He writes of being ill - probably after over-exerting himself, of being present at the opening of a new branch [of the Association of All Class of All Nations] in Yorkshire and a "new, large Institution" in Stockport, and of inviting Mr [James] Hill of Wisbech to the upcoming Congress [of the AoACoN].

Fleming writes he believes [Pierre] Baume shall soon be visiting, as Mr S[mith] asked for a bed to be made up; he thinks "something desperately foolish will be attempted and is now plotting between these madcaps"; he will try to prevent any "evil consequences".
