Manuscript letter urging Owen to start legal action against the Times newspaper for defamation of character; believes this is the only course by which Owen can defend himself from "such attacks", and also gain justice for Lord Brougham, and others, who testified to Owen's character in Parliament. The "attack" on Owen's character refers to a charge laid against him in the paper that he inherited [David] Dale's property under false pretences.
