Correspondence with Sir Clement Anderson Montague-Barlow (1868-1951), politician , relating to thanks for coverage of Barker's meetings in South Salford [as a prospective member of parliament] in the Manchester Guardian and an invitation to also report on a conference on industrial education in which Barlow is taking part.

Also included is discussion of potential articles by Barlow for publication in the Manchester Guardianon a meeting of the governing body of the International Labour Office in Rome, on Labour questions arising from the Genoa conference, and on Barlow's offer of assistance to the Manchester Guardian correspondents covering these events. There is reference to the general election, 1923, potential reform of the electoral system, and thanks for congratulations offered on Scott's becoming a fellow of Corpus Christi College, Oxford.
